The reaction is a galvanic cell formed by Fe NaCl solution C by slow oxidation and exothermic reaction of iron.
Negative reaction :Fe 2E -=Fe2- positive reaction :O2+2H2O+ 4E -=4OH-
Total fe 2 + + 2 h2o of O2 = 2 fe (OH) 2
Then 4Fe(OH)2+O2+2H2O==4Fe(OH)3 2Fe(OH)3= heated ==Fe2O3+3H2O
