Iron powder for aluminum alloys iron additive

Iron in Al-Cu-Mg-Ni-Fe forging aluminum alloy, silicon in Al-Mg-Si forging aluminum and in Al-Si welding rod and aluminum silicon casting alloy, are added as alloy elements, in aluminum alloy, silicon and iron are common impurity elements, have a significant impact on the alloy properties.  They mainly exist in FeCl3 and free silicon.  When Si is greater than Fe, β-FeSiAl3(or Fe2Si2Al9) phase is formed, and Fe is greater than Si to form α-Fe2SiAl8(or Fe3Si2Al12) phase.  When the ratio of iron and silicon is not at the time, the casting will cause cracks, and the cast aluminum will produce brittleness when the iron content is too high.
