Iron powder substituted copper sulfate conversion rate.

The cause of copper in copper sulfate solution.

The iron powder is put into the copper sulfate solution, and with the dissolution of the iron powder, the red single copper powder is precipitated out, and the color of the solution is shallow (dark blue - > light green).
This is because iron is more chemically reactive than copper, so Fe is able to displace Cu in a Cu ion solution.
That is, the copper ion takes two electrons from the iron and is reduced to a single copper;
The iron is taken and two electrons are oxidized to become Fe2+, but the copper ion does not have the ability to take the three electrons of the iron, so it has only two valence iron.

Copper sulphate chemical equation for reducing iron powder:

CuSO4 + Fe = FeSO4 + Cu

Use iron powder to replace copper from copper sulfate solution, produce 1 ton of copper, how many tons of iron powder?

According to the equation:

Cu2+ + Fe = Fe 2+ + Cu

It can be concluded that for every 64g copper produced, 56gFe is needed. Therefore, the theoretical output of 1 ton of copper requires 56/64 tons, or 0.875 tons of pure iron powder, and the conversion rate of iron powder replacement copper is 0.875.
In actual production, iron powder contains iron oxide and other impurities in addition to the most effective elemental iron content. Therefore, the higher the iron content, the lower the demand.
The copper replacement used in our factory is used for reducing iron powder, with high content of single quality iron (97% of total iron, 95~96% of single quality iron), grain size can be customized, and the price is cheap, welcome to inquire!
