Application of reduced iron powder in flame cutting

Flame cutting is a cutting method for cutting stainless steel, cast steel and high carbon heat resistant steel which cannot be completed by oxy-acetylene. It is carried out in a simulated form on the basic principle of oxy-acetylene flame cutting.

Usually, in the cutting, due to the formation of heat-resistant slag, the ordinary acetylene oxide flame cannot generate enough heat to cut materials such as stainless steel. Powder cutting of reduced iron powder into a flame has a dual effect. Since the iron powder is extremely flammable, the temperature rises, and the heat resistant slag is diluted to lower the melting temperature.
The temperature generated when the reduced iron powder is burned with oxygen is generally about 2000 ° C, and the cutting powder is sprayed onto the cutting line to play a role of combustion-supporting and melting, and increase the oxidation reaction during cutting combustion. When the cutting is carried out, oxygen flow iron powder is added to preheat the cut workpiece. The iron powder plays a strong oxidation reaction in the flame, releasing a large amount of heat energy, continuously cutting and continuously conveying the iron powder, so that the upper part of the cutting mouth is melted and simultaneously melted. The slag passes the upper temperature of the cutting piece to the lower part of the cutting mouth to complete the cutting smoothly.

First, the flame cutting performance characteristics:

1. The cutting iron powder is sprayed on the cutting line to play a role of combustion assisting and melting, which reduces the melting point of the workpiece to be cut.
2. Compared with plasma cutting, the method of iron powder flame cutting stainless steel has the advantages of low equipment cost, energy saving, simple equipment, easy operation and wide use.
3. Iron powder flame cutting instead of plasma cutting has energy-saving effect, and flexibility, and improve production efficiency.

Second, the advantages of using stainless steel to cut iron powder:

1. The iron powder product has high purity, uniform and stable quality, and no segregation.
2. Good fluidity, no gun blocking phenomenon.
3. The smoke is small and the cutting speed is fast.
4. The slit is narrow, generally 6-8mm, and the cut surface is smooth and smooth.
5. The consumption is small, which can increase the yield of the cutting piece and effectively reduce the production cost.
